Exam form photo and signature: 9 mistakes that get applications rejected
Wrong size in KB, wrong pixels, blurry signature, wrong ink, cap or glasses — the common photo and signature mistakes in SSC, IBPS, UPSC, NEET and JEE forms.
The mistakes
- File size outside the range (for example 55 KB when the limit is 20–50 KB).
- Wrong pixel size — read whether the form asks for pixels, cm or both.
- Signature in capital letters when "running hand" is asked.
- Blue ink when black is asked (UPSC asks for black).
- Signature too small inside a big white image, or cut at the edges.
- Photo with cap, dark glasses, or hair over the eyes.
- Dark or patterned background when white or light is asked.
- Old photo — many forms want one taken in the last few months.
- Over-compressed signature that becomes unreadable.
Get the size exactly right
Use Exam form photo & signature: pick your exam preset or type the width, height and KB range from your notification. The tool crops to the exact pixels and finds the best quality inside your KB range.
Always check the notification
Sizes change between years and between exams. ClerkCam keeps exam pages up to date, but the notification of your exam is the final word.
